Google has launched a cloud gaming service that enable users play high quality video games on a smart phone or web browser. Stadia games are played using Chrome browsers.
The launch of stadia cloud service is expected to yield an extra $150 billion. The rich new feature is expected to broaden its audience for there will be no more need for consoles. Google is seeking to edge out established gaming companies such as PlayStation with their new gaming features.
Founder’s edition kits were sold last month and each kit comprises of a Stadia controller and a Chromecast Ultra wireless device that connects it to the television set. Stadia Pro subscriptions will be accessible in North America and Europe.
Google data-centers will avail these games to subscribers at a fee. There will be free subscriptions starting with “Destiny 2: The collection.” Smartphone users will be able to play games through WiFi connections rather than on mobile telecom services.
