Kenya continue registering new coronavirus patients, even after enforcing stringent measures to curtail the spread.
Three more confirmed cases were reported on Thursday raising the total number of infections to 31.
While addressing the media, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi warned County governments to desist from issuing parallel coronavirus updates. This came after Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya reported a case of COVID-19 patient in Kakamega County.
The 19-year-old student who tested positive in Kakamega had travelled a few days back to the country from UK. Four people from the County have been put under quarantine.
International flights to and from Kenya have been stopped. Dusk to dawn curfew is set to commence March 27, as ordered by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
