Court of Appeal Judge Sankale Ole Kantai arrested over alleged interference on a murder case

Justice Sankale Ole Kantai was arrested and taken to the DCI offices for interrogation over alleged interference on Tob Cohen murder case.

The Court of Appeal Judge was among several Judges who were transferred in February 2019. Chief Justice David Maraga moved him from Nairobi to Nyeri. The Judiciary defended the transfer and termed it as normal in line with the requirements that demands Court Of Appeal Judges to serve a station for a period not exceeding two years.

Records indicate that in 2018, Justice Ole Kantai recused himself from the case involving Embu Governor Martin Wambora, on admission that one of the parties tried to compromise with him.
